Creating Coloring Pages with Photoshop
My Coloring Book Editor is only available for Windows. If you don't have access to a Windows machine, or you just don't want to use MCBEdit, you still need to make sure your pictures are PURE BLACK AND WHITE.
Quick-and-Easy Instructions for Photoshop
To quickly convert an image to pure black-and-white in Photoshop...
- Open the file which you need to convert.
- Select File > Save for web and devices...
- Select GIF as the file type.
- Choose Black -White from the drop down list.
- Click [Save] and save the file.
- Open the newly saved version and use the pencil with either black or white only, to make any minor edits that are needed.
- Save the file.
Instructions for Photoshop, with more control
If you want more control over how Photoshop coverts the image...
- Open the file which you need to convert.
- Go to Image > Adjustments > Threshold.
- Move the scale left for less black and right for more black. When you are satisfied, click OK.
- Select File > Save for web and devices...
- Select GIF as the file type.
- Set Colors to 2.
- Click [Save] and save the file.
- Open the newly saved version and use the pencil with either black or white only, to make any minor edits that are needed.
- Save the file.
